Pam Wilkening has spent more than 31 years in the dental industry helping practices become more efficient, more profitable, and a lot less stressful for the people running them every day.
As Co-Founder of The Owl Advantage Dental Solutions, Pam combines deep operational knowledge with creativity, leadership, and a very real understanding of what it takes to keep a dental office functioning when everything seems to be happening at once. She’s passionate about helping dentists and teams improve systems, communication, customer service, and overall office flow — without losing the human side of the business in the process.
Pam’s career started in high school developing x-rays at a general dental practice, but her path has been anything but ordinary. While attending Florida State University as a proud member of the legendary Florida State University Marching Chiefs (GO NOLES!), she shifted into the veterinary field while living in San Diego before eventually returning to Florida and dentistry.
She later joined a pediatric dental startup as the only employee alongside the owner doctor — which meant she wore approximately 47 hats on any given day. Receptionist? Yep. Office manager? Absolutely. Dental assistant? Of course. HR, tech support, scheduling coordinator, customer service department, construction manager, therapist for stressed-out team members, and occasional professional chaos coordinator? Also yes.
Alongside a talented pediatric dentist, Pam helped grow the practice from a small single-provider office into a thriving multi-provider practice with more than 30 team members while managing operations and overseeing the construction of a brand-new facility.
Pam also brings valuable experience from working with The Walt Disney Company, where she developed a strong foundation in customer service, communication, leadership, and creating exceptional client experiences. That Disney-level attention to detail and guest experience continues to influence the way she approaches both consulting and client relationships today. She believes people may forget what you said, but they never forget how you made them feel — especially patients.
A proud Lifetime Member of American Association of Dental Office Management (AADOM) since 2005, Pam genuinely loves sharing the lessons, strategies, and real-life experience she’s gained throughout her career to help practices succeed and teams feel supported.
Clients appreciate Pam for her honesty, humor, creative problem-solving, and ability to make even overwhelming situations feel manageable. She’s equal parts systems brain, people person, hype squad, and “let’s fix this mess together” energy — which fits perfectly with the heart behind Owl Advantage.
Outside of work, Pam loves spending time with her husband, two kids, four dogs, and two cats at their Florida home. She’s happiest surrounded by nature, gardening, football, music, theater, comedy, and all things Disney.
